Pakistan greatest asset is its human resource on which progress
and prosperity of the country largely
depends. Technical & vocational training plays vital role in enhancing
productivity of human resource. The quality of training should be sensitive with
the emergent needs of job market.
We are facing a
variety of challenges in skills development relevant to market needs. TVET
reforms are being introduced to improve quality of skills training and to
increase access. A NVQF has been introduced under TVET Reforms Support
Program to provide vertical and horizontal mobility and different pathways to
earn qualifications. We have improved, expanded and diversified technical and
vocational training. The situation today is certainly far better than one prevailing
in earlier period of our history.
We stand committed
to provide valid, reliable, flexible and fair assessment services that meet the
needs of clients. Our assessment process includes the full range of activities
that measure candidate skills, knowledge and attitude against nationally
defined competency standards. We expect enhanced employer participation in
assessment process to make our system responsive to job market.
